Why is it that Liberal do-gooders are so narrow minded and bigoted. Who do they blame for not making a more diverse group of people suffer - G-d?

Sam, I know it's found in a lot of groups, but in the US it's predominantly in the gay community. I wanted to be sure I wasn't assuming, though, so I took a look.
From the CDC:
Through 2006, AIDS had been diagnosed for a cumulative estimated total of 973,354 persons in the 50 States and District of Columbia. Most (81%) AIDS cases in adults and adolescents have been
in males. Among males with AIDS, 59% were attributed to male-to-male sexual contact. The proportion of AIDS cases among males attributed to male-to-male sexual contact was even larger among
those aged 13 to 24 years.
During 2006, male-to-male sexual contact was the most frequently reported transmission category—accounting for 43% of all AIDS cases diagnosed that year.
Note:
1) The age category for adults and adolescents comprises persons aged 13 years and older. http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/surveillance/resources/slides/msm/slides/m...
I was just thinking of the claims of discrimination when there's a perception that research isn't sufficiently funded.
It is a lot more "diverse" than it used to be, though.

Lain true that the largest percentage is male to male and the largest group growing in that area is amongst the black community BUT a lot of them are "straight". They are in hetero
relationships and are passing it to a new growing group black women. They are getting their something, something on the low down.

Sam, recheck that quote above.
"Among males with AIDS, 59% were attributed to male-to-male sexual contact."
It's nowhere near as exclusive a disease as cystic fibrosis, sickle cell, etc.
I confess, my original thought was somewhat out of date.
To bring us back to the original point, it's absurd that any charity event would be altered or canceled because the beneficiaries aren't deemed diverse or important enough.

Lain if CF is not diverse enough for them then I want to make sure no money is going to the UNCF. Now that one is far from diverse.

This is very sad. My closest childhood friend died from CF when he was in Jr. High School. He was a few years older than me but he would play with me and teach me all sorts of craft stuff
that he'd learned during his hosptial stays. He couldn't run and play with the other children because of his CF so that's why he put up with me lol a much younger, annoying little girl lol.
He was a sport and he was my closest friend (next door neighbor too) until his death. I remember how he suffered with his disease it was terrible. I remember sometimes we'd be outside and
he'd get into such bad coughing fits and I'd rub his back for him while he was all bent over in a coughing fit so much mucus. I'll never forget when he passed away and how much I missed him,
I'll remember him always.
If people could just see one person suffer from this disease they'd change their minds about canceling a charity for it.
I have a friend who's now in his late 30s and has CF and my hubby also has an old hs friend who has it and is in her mid-30s, but I guess they are the exception. What is the normal lifespan
for someone with CF?

Well there goes any funds for sickle cell anemia.
2Insane! Why would anyone wonder if a disease affected a diverse enough group?!?! I guess only the really good diseases affect everyone.
3Dang it, I was just about to post this!

13I don't know what it is girl. And it could be that my friend was an exception, plus that was over 30 years ago.
